The Columbus Sliders are teaming up with Minor League Pickleball powered by DUPR to bring one of the most exciting amateur team events in the country to Columbus.

Introducing the Sliders Shootout — an action-packed MLPlay™ team competition happening April 11–12, 2026 at Pickle & Chill.**

This isn’t your typical tournament. This is team strategy, co-ed competition, and high-energy matchups — all in one unforgettable weekend.

Why Minor League Pickleball?

Minor League Pickleball is sweeping the nation with its innovative, social, and competitive MLPlay™ Team Event format. It’s designed to bring men and women together on a level playing court while creating dramatic, crowd-energizing moments.

If you love team competition, momentum swings, and pressure-packed finishes — this event is for you.

The MLPlay™ Format

Each team consists of 4 players (2 women and 2 men).

Every team match includes:

• 1 Women’s Doubles game (to 21)

• 1 Men’s Doubles game (to 21)

• 2 Mixed Doubles games (to 21)

All games are played to 21.

If teams are tied 2–2 after the four games, it goes to a Dreambreaker™.

What’s a Dreambreaker™?

One player from each team plays singles. After every four rallies, teammates rotate in. First team to 21 (win by 2) takes the match.

It’s fast. It’s intense. It’s electric.

DUPR Divisions

Teams will compete in the following aggregate DUPR divisions:

• DUPR 20 – Team aggregate may not exceed 20.99

• DUPR 18 – Team aggregate may not exceed 18.30

  • Max individual DUPR: 5.10

• DUPR 16 – Team aggregate may not exceed 16.30

  • Max individual DUPR: 4.60

• DUPR 14 – Team aggregate may not exceed 14.30

  • Max individual DUPR: 4.10

• DUPR 12 – Team aggregate may not exceed 12.30

  • Max individual DUPR: 3.60

Once registered, your team’s ratings are locked, so future rating changes will not affect your division placement.

A DUPR account is required to register. Not rated yet? You can still play — your estimated rating will be verified by the tournament director.
